Most of us are familiar with that trifecta of winter-woes that is slushy walkways, excessively salted footpaths, and over-heated buildings.  Having to undress, layer after layer, upon entering from out of doors is quite the annoyance, but there are more permanent effects as well.

One of the most highly-talked-about collections in the recent slew of women’s fashion shows has been the Tom Ford’s first eponymous womenswear collection, and I must say it’s interesting.  I’m not sure it’s my favorite of the women’s collections, but it did get me thinking about menswear, womenswear and the relationship between the two.

Well, it’s that time of year again.  Fashion shows, Pitti Uomo, &c. have the fashion press blogging, tweeting, and photographing more than any reasonable human being would think possible.  And I’m certainly not complaining.  The only things I’m a little bitter about is that I’m stuck here in the States instead of roaming the lovely streets of Florence.
