Film Inspiration: The Thin Man
Most nights this past week ended with me closing up the rest of my apartment, settling down in the bedroom, and turning on a movie. Now this isn’t unusual by any means, but this week I spent working my way through the wonderful The Thin Man films.

So today I am placing my first MTM shirt order, at Modern Tailor. Reviews online seem to suggest that the quality isn’t bad, and a bargain at $19.99 for their trial white shirt or between about $40 and $60 for more interesting offerings.

Ode to the Loafer
While my taste usually remains somewhere under the large umbrella of “classic style,” whatever that means, I am prone to having “moments” if you will. For a period of time, I get extremely devoted to a specific garment or style, and tend to incorporate it almost daily in whatever else I feel like wearing.
Farewell White!
With Labor Day comes the end of official white wearing season. I’ll admit though, the title of this post is a bit misleading, since I’ll be wearing white for just a few more weeks. The full on Gatsby (see above) would be a little much for September, but with the temperatures still hovering in the high 80s here in St. Louis I have no problem throwing on white trousers for the tromp to campus.
