I recently stopped by Dunhill’s Bourdon House to see barber extraordinaire Brent Pankhurst and to refill my supply of his short hair creme, the only thing that will keep my stubborn locks in check.

In his article entitled from the May 1900 issue of Fashion, The Baron states “If Fashion were concerned only with collars and cuffs, neckties and fancy vests – with clothes exclusively, to be brief, – its territory, surely, or the sphere of its influence, could hardly be dignified with the title of a “Domain.”

I’ve written a lot recently about shifting my wardrobe for fall.  The changes in fabrics, the changes in colors, &c., but I’ve ignored one of the best things about fall: the smell.

Well yesterday it happened…the Savoy officially reopened for business following a massive, almost three-year-long renovation.  Sadly I’m on the wrong side of the pond to drop by and see all the changes for myself (and to be fair, I never set foot in the old Savoy), but everything I have heard has things looking magnificent.
