Lounging Around
It’s hard to believe Mr. Wooster could be grimacing wrapped in such an exquisite dressing gown. But there you have it. Mine is not made of such sumptuous silk – cotton in fact – but is just as much a comfort during these chilly days.
Saturday saw one of my favorite luxuries, one that I only get the opportunity to indulge in a few times a year, if that: I spent all day in dressing gown and pyjamas. I did have quite a bit of work to do on my thesis and a hefty chunk of Petronius to translate for Monday, but chose to do so curled up on top of the covers with a piping hot pot of Lapsang instead of bundling up and trudging off through the slush to the library. No interruptions, other than those of my own making of course, and a day that somehow managed to be both productive and relaxing. It just doesn’t get any better for me.
So, while the chill remains, indulge if you can. I promise you won’t regret it.
