On a college campus the boat shoe is ubiquitous, and something more likely to get one invited to a frat party than a yacht club.  So there goes that idea.  Instead I’ve adopted the above pair of moccasins that have more of a Sperry meets Tods vibe.

No, I’m not double-fisting my whisky tonight.  I’m quintuple-fisting.  As of Monday evening I am officially finished with my undergraduate education and will be graduating next week.  So, I decided to treat myself to a little Tuesday night whisky tasting.  You’ll be able to read all about it soon on Gentleman’s Gazette, so keep your eyes peeled.

Sadly I wasn’t able to spend Mother’s Day with my own fantastic mother this year, but I did get to spend it with my girlfriend and her wonderful mother.  After an early breakfast, we tried to beat the heat to the Missouri Botanical Gardens.  Despite your probable skepticism due to their being in Missouri, trust me they’re some of the best gardens in the country.

The weather has been madness this year.  Utter madness.  It was 80 in November, and now we’re getting temperatures in the 50s during May.  Today I wasn’t complaining though as it gave me as good a reason as any to tie on my newest acquisition.

Regular readers will know I have a bit of an infatuation with tweed, especially the really colorful stuff.  Now there is the very traditional Harris Tweed, loads of overchecked Estate Tweeds, and then there is Dashing Tweeds, which is a totally different animal altogether.
