Before that I was pretty much an ungrateful boor, who either just said, "thanks" on a call or email. Now I not only write notes, I send a few letters to friends far away. I have even got a few back. We all agree that it is very hard to get back into writing real letters. It's a dying art, but I am doing my best to bring it back– albeit only in my little corner of the world near New York City.
