Get the Blues
So, after a week of casual posts, it’s Casual Friday. Earlier in the week I posted two different casual looks I particularly liked. But, I realized I only focused on the waist up. And what’s one of the easiest ways to make any ensemble instantly more casual: Jeans.
The photo above is of London tailor Timothy Everest MBE, looking sharp and relaxed at the same time. The bold pattern of the jacket, the scarf-inside-the-collar move, and the jeans keep things from getting too formal, even though the jacket and waistcoat are about as seriously-tailored as one can get.
Mr. Everest has a whole line of clothing he calls “Bespoke Casual” and even does bespoke-tailored jeans if you so wish. I don’t think you need to go full bespoke on your denim, but keep things looking clean and crisp like Mr. Everest here and you’ll be just fine.
