Anchors Away

So, I hate to do two self-centered posts in one week, but here it goes.

Next time you hear from me, it will be from London. I fly across the Gulf Stream late Sunday night, and will not be returning to the States until the middle of August, just in time for school to start up again. Beginning next week, I will be working as a summer intern for Finch’s Quarterly Review, based in the West End between Regent Street and Savile Row.

This will be my first serious non-freelance experience, and I could not be more excited. The list of fantastic writers and artists I have the privilege to work with is astounding, and I am very thankful for this opportunity. I know things here on Simply Refined have been pretty mellow these last few weeks, what with school ending and my going home for a bit, but between the work I will be doing with FQR and being in London in general, things should be getting more and more exciting here over the course of the summer.
