Wax and Wick

With all of the rain and general humidity the last few days, St. Louis has a lingering smell of mildew and even the air in my apartment has become stale and rank. I burn candles all of the time in the fall, but this spring it is becoming more of a necessity.
As someone with terrible allergies, I greatly value the smells I do get to experience. Warm tobacco and spice in the winter, lavender and sandalwood in the bathroom (year-round), and lighter woods and citrus in the summer. Making sure my environment smells nice is always a top priority. Two of my favorite candles recently have been a light and crisp smelling grapefruit mint and a dry and invigorating cedar that my girlfriend found for me in France and is great in both the fall and spring. With a great candle, even when things are a bit damp and dull outside, there is no reason for them to stay that way inside as well.
