In Defense of the Brandy and Soda
I’m standing up in defense of the oft-forgotten Brandy and Soda. A pressing issue of the day, I know. You may all breathe easy now that this eminently sippable cocktail has a found its champion.

It’s allergy season again. The worst part of the year. It’s too hot to cozy up like one wants to when sick, and the sneezes and sniffles put such a damper on picnic revelry.
Bond for Breakfast
One of my all-time favorite breakfasts has got to be “Eggs James Bond.” The original Fleming recipe though is for 4 people, and I have found over time that simply reducing his approximates doesn’t always yield the best results.

No, that’s not part of a pint, but rather a glass of Fernet Branca. I was over in Spitalfields the other day to visit Timothy Everest, who I will be writing a piece about soon, and just had to drop in to St. John Bread and Wine.
Sweet and Smokey at Artisan du Chocolat
I don’t have a particularly over-developed sweet tooth, but a good piece of chocolate gets me every time. Typically I stick to the darkest, most bitter varieties. I find the nutty and fruity flavors present in cocoa intriguing in the same way one might ponder a single malt or cigar. Enter the tobacco chocolate bar.
